“Gala” is a set of 17 presets for Lightroom (including mobile version) and ACR (Adobe Camera Raw), recorded by me (old and new) from photos from 2011 to 2020.
I have been doing photography since 2006. Since then, my photographic equipment has changed several times: from Sony\’s soap dish to Nikon digital SLRs; photo processing changed: in color, in saturation, in contrast, in toning; the shooting process itself was changing: vision of light, colors, intra-camera settings. And if I was asked today to process new photos, for example, as I did in 2013, 2014: contrasting, neutral, not saturated, gloomy, then I would not be able to do this. Rather, I would have succeeded in repeating the processing, but I don\’t want to repeat it, since tastes have changed. Now (when I have more free time) I decided to delve into old archives of my photos and found a lot of Raw files with processing parameters applied to them in ACR (Lightroom). This inspired me to put together the “Gala” preset pack… I have never liked (and do not like now) to process photographs, and therefore I sit in the editor over one picture for about a minute. And I often write down presets for myself, as this speeds up processing even more.

Now more about some presets.
«TW»
It was recorded in 2017 and was actively used during that period. Then I lived in St. Petersburg and photographed girls in the rooms of the apartment plan (of course, the day outside the window was cloudy). The preset is contrasting, “colors” neutrals in the cold. It is similar to my frequently used camera settings in Nikon D700, only in the camera everything is “green”, and the preset gives more “cyan”. Examples:
“FL”
The preset was created in 2014. At that time I was shooting in nature much more often, twilight light, overcast light were popular in photographs. The preset is contrasting, detailed in highlights and has a warm tint. Examples:
«AYa»
A preset recorded in 2011 and refined in 2013 after changing some functions (“engine”) in ACR. Neutral, voluminous. Has a weak cold tint. Examples below:
«DK»
The most contrasting preset in the set. Perhaps the best description of him was left by my friend: “He gets the drama out of them *”. Has a sharp curve, makes cold colors deep. Recorded in 2014. Examples:
«R»
A preset that I often use for sunny, warm photographs (and not only). Recorded in 2016. Contrast, enhances detail in warm colors. One of the most versatile presets I\’ve ever used for my shots. Examples:
«BW»
The black and white preset, created in 2013, is very contrasting, noisy in places. Often requires adjustments to settings. Reds, warm colors darkens. I think you already know that I am a fan of color photography more than black and white, and I mostly shoot using the color settings in the camera, but still I do black and white. And, of course, I am in favor of getting contrasting skin, so I wrote down the appropriate preset. Below are examples:
«DG»
Preset recorded in 2015. Has a noticeable cold (“cyan” -green) tint in the shadows. Makes yellow, green colors dark, dull, skin color warm, uniform, but deep. Examples:
